If you are not careful, your hosting account could just be another sore entry on your accounting ledger. More often than not, these things listed below occur to our clients and we sure as hell never wished that should happen to them Here’s what will happen if you are not careful with your hosting account:
- Biting more than you can chew: One of the most common complaints we receive is the fact that someone purchased much more than required for their small business needs. If all you wanted was a static website with or without a blog on it and nothing else, you don’t a hosting package that provides you unlimited space and bandwidth. A simple, inexpensive and an apt package couldn’t cost you much and you must get started with stating your purpose and get an appropriate hosting package.
- Hacked – someone is squatting on your space: If you don’t keep your hosting accounts secure by using some specific tools available for the same, you are bound to be hacked. It might seem like an obvious thing to say, but you will be surprised to see the number of issues that are incoming each month to our support desk. Each website you develop, build or design is an asset and you must do everything you can to protect your hosting account because that’s where the home is for your website.
- Losing account information: Usually when you purchase a hosting account, lots of information is sent to the email address you signed up with. This first email consists of all kinds of information about your hosting and related services that your web hosting vendor provides like your server names, FTP details, login details for your hosting account and much more. Never lose this information and never share it with anyone else.
